Projects

Community Kitchen

Upgraded design for a combined palapa/superadobe kitchen and dining space.
This will provide an eating area for up to 50 people, integrated into landscaped gardens.
It will also provide a demonstration and workshop space for preparation of healthy vegetarian/vegan cuisine
The kitchen prep. area will be flexible and multifunctional so as to be expandable for larger events.

Rysheak's dOMe hOMe

A superadobe dOMe hOMe with a temple aesthetic, incorporating sacred geometry and partially submerged into the earth to create a unique climate stabilized environment.
This structure features a private sunken garden/couryard leading into a central dOMe.  Connections to satelite dOMes provide for future expansion into bedrooms and other private spaces.
Fully ecological local materials and unique design make this a future showcase, of dOMe potential for this climate zone.

Shenaqua's & AJ's Casita

A partially sunken studio space nestled among existing trees will showcase local stone and lime/cement mortar as foundational material, topped with earthcrete (60% native soil, 30% sand, 10% lime/cement) walls to provide a climate stabilized and ecological home.  This design allows local builders to use their experience with concrete as a construction material to build ecological houses at a fraction of the traditional cost, massively lowered ecological footprint and far lower maintenance and energy costs.

Solar drying of mangos

Preserving the summer mango abundance with a focus on high-quality solar dried mango.
Our existing solar drier will be complimented with another drying unit to expand our capacity
A summer work-crew will focus partially on dried mango production of specific varietals - we have 9 varieties in total.

Sacred Activism and Outreach

It is a blessing and an honor to serve life with the transforming force of compassion-in-action that is born of a fusion of deep spiritual wisdom, courage, love, and passion, with wise radical action in the world.

We will be hosting ongoing living skills outreach programs with the local communities and the youth as we share and exchange our knowledge and skills about sustainability and the healing arts.

The Temple

We will begin creating, this December 2013, an earthbag kiva dome temple for breathwork, meditation, yoga, dance, darkroom retreats, workshops, and more.  The temple will incorporate sacred geometry and consist of six 13 ft diameter domes around the perimeter of a 30 ft diameter hexagonal dome.  The six domes will be used for personal retreats and will have three doors.  One door will be an entrance from the outside, another door will lead through a tunnel to a full bathroom with solar hot water showers, the third door will lead through a tunnel into the main temple space.

Temple Together & Kickstarter Fundraising Campaign

Temple Together is a deeply devoted collective made up of some of our community residents who will be spearheading the Temple creation and its eventual activities and also the sacred activism and outreach programs.

We will be launching a kickstarter fundraising campaign beginning around the middle of July to raise money for this amazing inspired project.  Check back soon to get the link to support creation.
